Planet Waves Humidifier (small for violin, viola, guitar, mandolin, etc., large for cello, bass, etc)
Each humidifier contains an open cell phenolic foam insert rather than ordinary sponge. Unlike the sponge
which shrinks and deforms a great deal when dry, causing leakage, the foam shrinks less than 1% when dry.
A simple syringe is provided which allows you to control the amount of water used when recharging the foam. Maintaining ther humidifier usually involves recharging once a month, the frequency depending on climate conditions. Continuously monitors your instrument case humidity and temperature status.
Hygrometer indicates relative humidity levels ranging from under 20% to 99%. Temperature is displayed in either Fahrenheit or centigrade, from -32 to 122 degrees. The unit includes a programmable set point as well as a memory feature that indicates date/time of the highest and lowest temperature/humidity levels that existed in the instrument case interior.
